| Near Welshpool View location This is one of the very few conifers that can make new growth easily when cut down - or in this case blown down. This close up of the fallen trunk shows a new root from an established "re-grown tree" and also a young shoot. Taken on a BSBI meeting and, as always, I am indebted to more knowledgeable members of the society for guidance. |
